The AAUW Organization

Local Branch: The Fremont Branch is an active group with many projects and events. Every activity is designed to be fun and to relate to our mission statement. As educated women and men, we recognize our powerful voice in the community and choose projects which will impact the community in a positive way.  Join our growing membership and become part of our community.

The Branch History page discusses our History and lists some of our outstanding past leaders.

Many of our local members are also members of the Graduate Women International.

State OfficeAAUW California has 9,500 members in 116 branches, plus over 2,500 members-at-large. It hosts an annual state convention and regional training events, and updates local chapters on legislative activities.

National Office: AAUW is headquartered in Washington, D.C.  National policy is set at this level.  When one of our members moves from our Fremont Branch, she soon feels at home anywhere in the country by using the Association database to find an AAUW branch in her new community. The AAUW Leadership page lists AAUW National Officials.
